Atrial Pacing example two



Note the pacer spikes in the upper two traces, which are immediately followed by P-waves.  The interval between pacer spikes is 0.60 seconds, so the rate is 100.  The P-R interval that follows is unusually long: about 0.36 seconds.  Nevertheless, there is consistent AV conduction and adequate blood pressures are being achieved.  The third trace shows us this: it is a recording of radial arterial pressure and is reading about 155/55.  The bottom trace is a recording of pulmonary artery pressure.   This pacer could be in DDD (Dual stimulating, Dual sensing, Dual response) mode, but it would be most unusual to program in such a long atrioventricular delay.  It is most likely in AOO (Atrial stimulating, no sensing, no response) mode.
