Second Degree Block Type Two example three
This strip begins with sinus rhythm. There is an aberrantly conducted
premature junctional
contraction after the sixth sinus beat, a non-sinus supraventricular beat follows (note the
differently shaped P-wave), then another PJC. Note the
retrograde P-wave accompanying this PJC.
A non-conducted P-wave follows on the heels of this second
PJC and the atrial impulse arrives
while the A-V node is completely refractory.
This probably shouldn't be called a blocked beat,
but a non-conducted one.
