Idioventricular Rhythm example two


Notice the baseline: it shows atrial fibrillation, yet the ventricular activity is very regular.  This regularity
in the presence of atrial fibrillation tells us that atrial activity is not stimulating ventricular responses.
The ventricular rate is 38, and the QRS width is 0.16.  This is idioventricular rhythm in the presence of,
or better, due to complete atrioventricular block.  This illustrates that this is an escape rhythm:
the ventricles escape from the AV block.
