Idioventricular Rhythm example one



We see a slow rate, with wide QRS complexes slurring into the T-waves: a good example of
idioventricular rhythm.  Notice the retrograde P-waves seen in leads I and III and that this
heart is slowing down: the rate has dropped from 39 to 33 beats per minute during these
ten seconds.  Asystole is imminent.  Note the RESP APNEA alarm at the top of the strip.
