Supraventricular Tachycardia



We see here a rapid and regular rhythm, with normal QRS complexes.
The R-R interval is 0.33 seconds, giving a rate of 181.  The baseline is
irregular, which could suggest atrial fibrillation, but the R-R intervals
are completely regular, which rules out AF.  In fact, the baseline irregularity
is an artifact due to tremor.  There are suggestions of P waves in I and II
which seem normal, but they are inverted in III.  This indicates that a
non-sinus atrial focus is pacing this heart.   Thus, the rhythm is called
supraventricular tachycardia.
