Multifocal Atrial Tachycardia


Wandering atrial pacemaker, by definition, must have an average rate less than 100.
The rhythm seen here is just like wandering atrial pacemaker, but with a faster rate.
Multifocal atrial tachycardia (MAT) has multiple atrial foci producing different
P-waves, each with their own characteristic P-R interval.  By definition, the rate of
MAT must be over 100.  Here we see it in the 140s.
